The Gift of HR Outsourcing
Written by Sophia Maria Cuevas

What can possibly link hr outsourcing and college students? As a struggling college student in the Philippines, the challenges of budgeting one’s allowance is more difficult than writing a thesis. Wiser students, on the other hand, manage this difficulty by augmenting their allowance through doing a bit of work. Unfortunately, there are only a few options available for students still struggling for a degree.

The struggle for survival

The most popular choice would be to work in a local fast food joint such as McDonald’s, Wendy’s or the local Jollibee. Another option would be to work in a call center. Others opt to become student assistants. Unfortunately, such work takes so much time and energy that at the end of the day, students collapse from the sheer load of the day. This is counterproductive because it prevents them from accomplishing their duties as students such as studying or making their requirements.

The next best thing is to work as a student assistant. However, the only benefit of this (compared to the latter) is that you are working within campus. The labor is just as heavy and just as time-consuming.

For both of these choices, unluckily, the pay is not quite rewarding. And for the struggling student there must be something more

Tapping hidden potentials
College students, especially in the Philippines, have immense potentials and talents. They can speak straight English and, basically, they are conscientious workers. The sheer waste of these potentials ought to be a sin. Regrettably, what can you do?

Luckily, The Global Employer exists because we have the foresight to tap the lost potentiality of competent college students. As a proud employee of The Global Employer, I am glad to say that being a part of a bigger movement to supply business process outsourcing solutions to the world makes my work a lot more rewarding than the drudgery of the local food joint.

Getting my just rewards

I work as a writer and it’s been a fun and educating experience! Both my intellect and my creativity are constantly being sharpened and fully harnessed by this company. In a globally competitive world, I believe that The Global Employer has just given me an edge. Not only am I earning money, I’ve also become part of a global movement called HR outsourcing.
